Internship

Were you born with a spatula in your hand? Can’t you get enough of movies like Julie & Julia or Ratatouille? Is cooking not just something you’re good at, but is it your passion? Then it’s time to start climbing the first steps of the ladder to become a great chef. You will commit to working for the Chef de Partie or Section Chef, and be busy with preparation work and basic cooking.

Daily tasks

• Assisting senior chefs in preparing meals in either part or in full
• Preparing the ingredients for a more senior chef
• Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
• Learning of HACCP (Health and Safety)
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Executing allocated dishes on time to the required standard
• Maintaining a positive and pro-active attitude at all times
• Complying with Staff Code of Conduct and Department Policies and Procedures at all times
• Undertaking all training as required
• Actively seeking to improve skills and achieving personal development
• Seeking to ensure that all visitors and guests have the best experience possible at all times
