Fleurance during her internship in Barcelona

Happy new home! (5 September 2017)

Time flies when you’re having fun! I realize how fast the last two weeks have passed by. Last Monday I started working at the company where I am doing my internship. I am so happy to have found this internship. My colleagues are all from different countries. Everybody is so kind and the atmosphere in the office is really friendly and happy. I’ve never worked fulltime before, like 38 hours a week, so I still have to get used to this daily routine.

Beside that I have finally found a room, I can't describe how happy I am! The coming months I will be living in Gracia, a very nice neighbourhood. My housemates are 3 Spanish guys all from my age. They are all very friendly. My parents came over to help me with moving my stuff and to make the room nice and cosy! I am in love with the results!

Estoy my felix! (12 September 2017)

The third week has passed by and it has been amazing (again)! This was my first week living at my new home, and it has been amazing so far. The guys I am living with are really relaxed and funny. They invited me to join for a drink last Tuesday. We went to a square (place del sol) where all people are sitting on the ground and having a drink with each other, not a regular bar in where everybody brings their own drinks.

In general, there are many people visiting the house I am living in and I really enjoy it. In this way I meet new people who are all Spanish and I am really willing to learn the language, so we started to put sticky notes around the house! On everything there is a card now saying what it means in Spanish. Sometimes it’s really hard to explain in words how much I enjoy myself over here, because there are no words for my happiness at the moment!

In the weekend I went to Brunch in the Park together with friends of mine from university. The party we went to is comparable to a little festival in a park. When we were on our way to the party we had to walk upwards a hill. When we looked at our side we saw the most beautiful view I have seen here so far. I was able to look over the whole city, it was so so gorgeous!

The Golden Hour (4 November 2017)

Sometimes it is nice to take a moment for yourself and free the mind. Beside the fact that Barcelona is a very big and busy city, it has a very nice beach. At the moment it is not really tanning weath anymore but still perfect to have a good walk, so I did. Have you ever heard about the golden hour? This is the time when the sun is about to go down and when you have the greatest view over the sea! It´s said that this is the best moment to take pictures!

Afterwards I met with two friends to join me for the beach. Later on we ended up sitting at CDLC and having a bottle of wine. It was a perfect way to finish last weekend.
