Mission/vision of the company:
This young company has shaken up the flower industry! They are disrupting the conventional offline chain with a unique online concept: ensuring customers receive the freshest flowers available, personally delivered directly to their homes!
The innovative e-commerce platform is still young (founded in late 2014), but already a startup and on its way to becoming a scale-up. They are currently delivering flowers in the Netherlands, England, Germany, Belgium, and Denmark. And what’s their ambition? To conquer Europe... and the world! With the goal of becoming the first global flower brand within the lifestyle segment and making the world a little bit more beautiful – and happier.
Internship:
Their mission is to grow the company, not only in the five countries they are already active in but also beyond. They are constantly looking for new smart ways to acquire customers. They want to optimize sales channels and explore how things can be done better, faster, and easier. This also means coming up with exciting new ideas and testing them. Think of partnerships with magazines and stores, inspiring workshops, pop-up shops, trade shows, and markets.
To increase visibility, they are partnering with other cool brands. With market knowledge and a creative approach, they aim to reach millions of potential customers each year. And they have the freedom to push market boundaries – which they do! The young team works closely with all departments, from Product to PR, Operations, and Customer Relations. Lessons learned are immediately translated into improvements. Why? So we can sell flowers like a boss!
Profile student:
This company is looking for a student with huge ambition to get the best out of a growing market. Someone who sees the opportunities and knows how to seize them effectively.
Study field:
Marketing | Communication | PR | Sales
Languages:
Fluent in both Flemish and English.
Daily tasks:
- Customer acquisition through various initiatives (e.g., partnerships, trade fairs/markets, etc.)
- Monitor client acquisition costs
- Lead the local sales teams and be responsible for their performance
- Continuously optimize existing sales processes. There is plenty of room for initiative, including setting up new partnerships!
You are/have:
- Third or fourth-year university or higher education student
- Analytical mindset
- Commercial insight and results-driven
- Affinity with business development, marketing & sales
- Hands-on & proactive
- Able to think outside the box
- Passion for start-ups and e-commerce
- Enthusiastic, independent, and results-oriented
