Mission/Vision of the company

Ever heard of a DMC? In case you haven’t, a Destination Management Company is a company that organizes travels for groups and individuals from beginning to end. Everything is taken care of when you book your holiday at a DMC. Hotels, plane tickets, activities: a proper DMC has it all covered and tailormade to suit every customer’s unique wishes. This DMC has been at it since 1999 and organizes travel programs throughout Singapore, China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and of course their very own and unbelievably beautiful country Vietnam.

Internship

This company offers three different kinds of internships, and one of them might just be perfect for you. Whether you go with Marketing, Graphic Design or Travel Consultancy, at each internship you are sure to learn a ton about tourism, the different markets out there, and even more about Asia. 

Profile Student

Of course you will learn a lot, but it’s great if you can bring some knowledge about Asia and traveling to the table at the first day of your internship already. A hunger for travelling and discovering the world is key if you want to do an internship at this company. Add to that some knowledge of foreign languages and you are good to go!

Daily tasks

This company has three different internships available:

Marketing Executive internship

• Supporting website on content, updates and management
• Managing social media channels and creating content
• Writing newsletters
• Structuring of picture database and implementing picture tags
• Telemarketing for Europe (Sales)
• Making sales calls and supporting sales activities
• Conducting market research and competitor analysis

Graphic Design internship

• Supporting design for marketing material, signs, publications, brochures, advertisements, promotional displays, and more
• Maintaining the brand identity of the company
• Preparing files
• Providing design support for special events, exhibitions, and decorations
• Keeping up to date with the travel industry
• Working with graphic design software (experience is a requirement)

Travel Consultancy internship

• Ensuring that the company process (Sales & Customer Service) is adhered to
• Contacting travel agents via phone to walk through itineraries and company products in detail
• Supporting the Core Agents in Southeast Asia
• Supporting the ESM (English Speaking Market) Sales team

You are

• Someone with strong computer skills (e.g. MS Office)
• Able to work independently
• A good communicator
• A lover of travel and maybe even someone with travel experience in Asia!

Languages

English. Other languages such as French and Spanish are considered a plus
