Daily Tasks
- Welcoming guests upon arrival and ensuring they feel expected and welcome
- Ensuring that guests receive the accommodation they expect
- Staying up to date on what is happening at the hotel and local services to answer guest inquiries
- Being aware of which guests are staying in the hotel through the Hotel Management System
- Handling guest complaints in a quick, efficient, and sensitive manner
- Adhering to hotel policies, procedures, and standards
- Receiving payments and following the hotel’s credit policy
- Managing reception administrative systems and procedures accurately
- Providing currency exchange services
- Recording refusals to do business and the reasons for it
- Checking cleanliness and work standards at reception and submitting completed checklists to the Front Office Manager
- Promoting hotel points of sale and special events
- Monitoring sales and occupancy levels
- Contributing to additional tasks from management
- Ensuring balanced accounts at the end of the shift
