Hi there,

I was thinking about how I would start off with writing the very first blog in my life. But hey, for everything there should be a "first time". At the moment I am in a very special position. As you might know I am a Dutch girl, but what you might not know is that I have moved to Spain last week, for the coming 6 months, YAAAY!! :D

I am an international business student at Hogeschool Rotterdam. I've started my third year last week, which means that I have to follow an internship for one semester. Due to the fact I am following an international study program I have chosen to go abroad for my internship.

It was very hard to pick a country, because I have so many places on my bucket list that I definitely would love to visit. Anyway, I spoke to many people about making a decision and I came to the conclusion that there was one city that people only were saying good words about, BARCELONA IT IS!! This is how it all begun (4 months ago) and now, I am here.

So I arrived last Tuesday. I chose not to book a room for long term before I would arrive in Barcelona, I made this decision based on other people's advice. So, the first three days I was staying at the TOC hostel.

Even though I am not the "hostel type of girl", it was a very nice stay. I was very lucky with the roommates I got, they were all guys (7), and the hostel was very clean and cosy! However, I was very happy when I found a room on Facebook where I could stay for the next days, I am still here now (Saints). It was just about having a bit more privacy and luxury instead of sharing everything. It is just what you prefer.

At the moment I am still staying in this room, but about two days ago I found a long term room which I am very excited about. So, I will move coming Saturday, more about this in my next post! I am so excited about decorating my new room as it would be my new home for the coming 6 months! I just can't wait! If you have any tips for decoration, share it with me!

Beside searching for rooms, I've also started to discover the city! At first sight everything looks so cute and cosy, I am already loving Barcelona! Last Sunday I went outside to have a brunch, all by myself (I was sooo lonely, haha!). Anyway, everything on the menu looked so amazing and tasty. Finally I choose for the toast with avocado and a fresh orange juice, it was delicious!! I would love to discover more places like this, so if you know any, please hit me up!

Yesterday, (Monday, 28-08) I started my first working day at my internship. At the end of the day I was so tired because there was loads of new information but beside that I really liked it and I am looking forward to the coming days, weeks, months!

So all sounds positive and I am really enjoying! If you would like to be updated more often you can follow all my posts at my Instagram page (Fleurance_). Let me know what you think about it, and share your stories/experiences with me!

See you next week!

BESOSSSS,

Fleurance
