The Ultimate Internship Abroad Checklist
At Abroad Internships, we’ve seen it all — the excitement, the nerves, and yes, the last-minute packing panic before an internship abroad.
One of our favourite stories comes from a student heading to Spain. She had everything ready: her suitcase packed, her accommodation booked, her first-week outfits perfectly chosen. But the night before her flight, she realised she’d left her visa documents at home — 300 kilometres away.
Luckily, it all worked out. But moments like these are exactly why we created The Ultimate Internship Abroad Checklist.
Why a Checklist Can Save Your Adventure
When you’re preparing for an international internship, it’s easy to focus on the exciting parts — exploring a new city, meeting people from around the world, tasting food you can’t even pronounce. But missing one essential document or forgetting an important step can turn that excitement into stress.
With over 15 years of sending students to internships across the globe, we know exactly what needs to be on your packing list — and in your preparation plan.
Final Word from Us
An internship abroad isn’t just work experience — it’s a chance to grow, explore, and create memories that will stay with you for life. Preparation doesn’t have to be stressful; with the right checklist, you can focus on the adventure ahead.
And remember: whether you’re heading to Cape Town, Tokyo, or New York, we’re here to make sure you start your journey ready for anything.
