What did you think of the city?
New York is an overwhelming city. Personally, I like neighborhoods such as SoHo the most; there are many nice bars and restaurants there. It’s important to take your time to get to know the city slowly. At first, you can feel very lonely here, but once you find the nice streets, restaurants, and spots, it’s beautiful.

What did you think of the internship?
My internship was not what I expected. The company wasn’t prepared for my arrival and had never had an intern in this department working 40 hours a week before. Because of that, there were few tasks for me, and I often had nothing to do. There also wasn’t really a plan for my internship—I didn’t feel the company had enough tasks (of the right level) for me.

What was the most special thing you experienced?
Walking through Central Park or along the High Line on a beautiful sunny day.

Do you have any tips for students?
The Webster is a really good place for women to stay. It’s close to one of New York’s largest subway stations, and from there, everything is easy to reach.

What rating would you give your experience?
6.5

Tirza’s internship wasn’t what she expected, but fortunately, she was able to start somewhere else within a week.
