Hi Emmeline! How did you like Los Angeles?
In my opinion, California is amazing, but Los Angeles is a strange city. Each part of the city is completely different. I think it’s important to know what kind of "vibe" you’re looking for and choose your living area accordingly. That made a huge difference for me. Other than that, it’s a fantastic city where there’s always something to do. For me, Venice Beach, West Hollywood, and Santa Monica were the most fun and relaxed places in LA. There’s always something happening there, without the "social standards" you often see in other parts of LA. In short: LA is definitely worth it, but make sure to find the area that feels right for you!
How was your internship?
My internship went amazingly well. The company was a perfect fit for me, as were all my colleagues. I learned a lot, and we even talked about the future. Hopefully, I’ll be back here one day!

What was the most special experience you had?
I can’t name just one thing. The entire journey was special, with highs and lows. Every few days, I had these moments of realization—walking past a row of palm trees during a California sunset and thinking: wow! It’s those small, exciting moments that made all the difference. I also explored a lot of California, went on road trips, and had spontaneous adventures. You never know where you’ll end up, and suddenly, it can turn into the best day of your life in Cali.
Do you have any tips for students?
Don’t come to LA without a car. I didn’t have one (or a driver’s license), and it was incredibly difficult to get around. During the day, public transport can get you places, but at night, it’s not an option. The city is huge, and distances are long. Plus, the entire city is built for cars. Once I got to know people, they were happy to drive me around, but you don’t want to always depend on others.
