What did you think of the city?

The city is amazing, you never get bored. Beautiful beaches, great nightlife, and endless outdoor activities.

What did you think of the internship?

The internship was educational and a fun experience. It didn’t fully align with my studies, but I still made the best of it.

What was the most special thing you experienced?

Swimming with penguins, Nelson Mandela's funeral, working in a township, the garden route, encountering baboons on the doorstep in a residential area, talking to a former prisoner of Nelson Mandela... Too many things to mention!!!

Do you have any tips for students?

Find an internship in Cape Town!! And make sure you have accommodation within reasonable distance of the city bowl. Renting a car is really necessary. It gives you so much more freedom because the distances are huge here, and public transportation doesn’t reach everywhere. Observatory is a nice neighborhood to live in.
