Internship

Were you born with a spatula in your hand? Can you never get enough of movies like Julie & Julia or Ratatouille? Is cooking not just something you’re good at, but your passion? Then it’s time to take the first steps toward becoming a great chef. During your internship, you’ll work for the Chef de Partie or Section Chef, assisting with prep work and the basics of restaurant cooking.

Ambition drives you. You are aware that there’s so much to learn about cooking and that you have plenty of practice ahead. And you’re ready for it. You are eager to grab this opportunity with both hands and are actively looking for ways to improve your cooking skills and yourself. One day, that white chef’s hat will be yours.

Daily Tasks

  • Assisting the senior chef in preparing meals, either fully or partially
  • Preparing ingredients for a senior chef
  • Accurately measuring ingredients for dishes and portions
  • Learning about HACCP (health and safety)
  • Maintaining a high standard of hygiene
  • Plating assigned dishes to the required standard, on time
  • Maintaining a positive and proactive attitude
  • Complying with the Staff Code, policies, and procedures
  • Participating in required training
  • Actively seeking opportunities to develop skills
  • Striving to ensure all guests have the best possible experience
