Mission/Vision of the Company
You will be working at one of the most experienced and effective drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers in all of Thailand. The center focuses primarily on rehabilitating its clients as quickly, but most importantly, as effectively as possible. They achieve this by believing in the client's ability to recover.
For interns, they aim to provide an experience where you come into contact with clients who have different addictions and react in various ways. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to discover island life while gaining experience and knowledge in addiction counseling.
Internship
During this internship, you will first receive training from experienced staff members and help monitor clients staying at the clinic. You will assist in various types of supervision and counseling activities, such as assisting with intake, conducting bag checks, giving facility tours, leading excursions, and providing one-on-one sessions with (new) clients.
Profile of the Student
You are a student about to graduate or already graduated in counseling or psychology, and available for at least three months. You have a good work ethic, a lot of discipline, and can independently handle challenging situations. If you are also proficient in English and have good counseling and interviewing skills, this internship offers the challenge you're looking for!

Daily Tasks
- Assist with intake, bag checks, and facility tours for new clients
- Assist and guide clients with homework
- Help pick up and drop off clients at the airport
- Lead and assist with creative group sessions
- Set up and conduct weekend tasks and excursions, monitor clients while shopping
- Take charge of preparing and distributing notes, schedules, and other materials
- Take responsibility for coordinating colleagues
- Shadow different counselors to gain knowledge
- Conduct one-on-one introductions for new clients
You
- Are about to graduate or already graduated in counseling or psychology
- Can communicate and write in English proficiently
- Have self-discipline and good work habits
- Are independent and able to work well with clients
- Have knowledge of counseling and psychotherapy (important)
- Have knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy
- Can facilitate structured group activities
- Are adaptable to different cultures and orientations
