Internship:

During this internship, you will work full-time at the reception. You will be the face and main point of contact for guests, ensuring they have a perfect stay. Not only will you assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, but you will also help them navigate the city of Antwerp. Additionally, you will make reservations, manage the breakfast service, and start or close the day as needed.

Profile:

This hotel is looking for a motivated intern who enjoys welcoming guests with enthusiasm in Antwerp and guiding them around the city. You take responsibility for and stay involved in the events that unfold at the hotel. Furthermore, you are a problem-solver and don't see obstacles as issues.

Languages:

Fluency in English is a must. Knowledge of German and French is a plus.

Daily Tasks:

• Welcoming guests and introducing them to the city
• Checking in and checking out guests
• Answering guest inquiries
• Making and following up on reservations
• Making and following up on meeting room bookings
• Preparing and assisting with breakfast service
• Preparing invoices for accommodation costs
• Managing the cash register
• Creating daily statistical reports
• Answering the phone
• Opening and/or closing the day

You Are:

• Enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible
• Someone who spontaneously greets guests and enjoys informing them about the hotel, services, and of course, the city
• Good with computers
• A problem-solver and proactive, showing involvement in guest satisfaction
• Socially skilled and open to feedback
• Interested in the hospitality industry
• Multilingual: Fluency in English is essential! Knowledge of German and French is a plus.
