  • Housing: €500 – €1,200
Accommodation costs can vary depending on the city and type of housing (shared apartment, student housing, or private studio). Amsterdam and major cities like Rotterdam or Utrecht tend to be more expensive, while smaller cities or towns may offer more affordable options.
  • Living expenses (groceries, dining out): €250 – €450
Groceries in the Netherlands are fairly affordable, and dining out ranges from inexpensive to more expensive, depending on the location. Many cities have affordable options, including street food, casual restaurants, and markets.
  • Transportation (public transport, bike, etc.): €50 – €120
Public transportation in the Netherlands is efficient and relatively inexpensive. A monthly public transport pass is often the best option. Cycling is very popular, and in many cities, it’s the most affordable way to get around.
