To properly prepare for your internship in the Czech Republic, it’s helpful to know what costs you can expect. Below is an indicative breakdown of monthly expenses. Exact amounts may vary depending on the city you stay in and your lifestyle.

 

  • Housing: $300 – $800
    Depending on the city and type of accommodation (shared apartment, student room, or studio). Prague tends to be more expensive than smaller cities like Brno or Ostrava.
  • Living expenses (groceries, dining out): $150 – $400
    This depends on how often you cook for yourself or eat out. Groceries are quite affordable, and dining out can be inexpensive, especially in local restaurants or pubs.
  • Transportation (public transport, bike, etc.): $30 – $100
    Public transportation is widely available in major cities, with Prague offering a reliable metro, tram, and bus system. Monthly public transport passes are available and reasonably priced
