Registration fee

How do the registration fees at Abroad Internships work, and why are they necessary?

When you register with Abroad Internships and we actively start working to find a suitable internship for you, we ask for a registration fee of €250. You pay this registration fee via the second registration form.

Why do we ask for a registration fee?

The registration fee is necessary because from that point on, we invest a lot of time and work into finding a suitable internship placement for you. Think of:

  • Actively searching for and proposing you to internship companies
  • Guiding you through your application process
  • Providing advice on visas, accommodation, and other practical matters

The registration fee is therefore a confirmation of your serious participation and allows us to give full commitment right away to making your internship a success.

What happens to the registration fee?

The €250 is deducted from the total placement fee. The registration fee is final and non-refundable, with one exception: if Abroad Internships is unable to propose an internship within the deadline you specified (a minimum of 1 calendar month), you will receive a refund of the €250 registration fee, minus €95 in administration costs for the time and work already spent on the placement process. This exception no longer applies if you agreed on a shorter deadline than 1 calendar month with us.

Outside of this situation, for example, if you decide to stop yourself, no longer respond, or discontinue the placement process for another reason, the registration fee will not be refunded. You can find the full conditions in our terms and conditions.
